什么是COMCorps?
COMCorps members create and support social and physical environments that promote good health and wellness for all. Major focuses of the program include food insecurity, nutrition education and social connectivity.
Beginning each August, COMCorps members serve a 10.5 or 11.5 month term packed with 1,700 hours of life-changing experience serving others. 通过服务, members and organizations will address social determinants of health with a trauma-informed approach directing members in creative, community-generated solutions to pressing local needs. Many of our COMCorps members go on to pursue careers in medicine, 公共卫生, social services and nonprofit leadership.
COMCorps members receive the following benefits:
- Living stipend of up to $19,300
- Federal student loan forbearance
- Segal 教育 Award of $7,8395
- Health insurance, SNAP benefits, and childcare if eligible
